    新北市、樹林 – 2021年12月21日 –世界トップクラスLED メーカーのエバーライト(エバーライト株式会社)は新型コロナウィルス(SARS-CoV-2)に対して殺菌効果を持つUVCライト設備の開発に成功しました。中央研究院生物医学科学研究所に所属する林宜玲研究チームの協力で、UVCライトが特定の波長においてSARS-CoV-2 を殺菌して、ウィルスの感染拡大を抑制する効果があることがわかりました。今回の研究テーマ『波長の異なる紫外線(UVC)照射ユニットによるSARS-CoV-2 (新型コロナウィルス) 殺菌の有効性研究』（The Effectiveness of Far-Ultraviolet (UVC) Light Prototype Devices with Different Wavelengths on Disinfecting SARS-CoV-2）は2021年11月12日に『アプライド・サイエンス』誌（Applied Sciences）で発表されています。 重度の呼吸器症状の原因である新型コロナウィルス(SARS-CoV-2) が2019年に引き起こした新型コロナウィルス感染症(COVID-19) はもはや全世界の人々の健康にとって深刻な脅威となっています。パンデミック阻止に最も効果的な方法はウィルスの感染経路を断ち切って感染拡大を防ぐことです。UVC除菌器のUVC消毒は一般の方々からの理解不足ゆえにUVC除菌器が正しく利用されなくなり、消費者間の神話が崩されています。エバーライトは中央研究院生物医学科学研究所の林宜玲研究チームとの合同研究を行い、国際ジャーナル『アプライド・サイエンス（Applied Sciences）』誌で研究成果を発表し、新型コロナウィルス消滅に必要なUVC量、波長・照射時間を発見しました。実験室の計測条件については、一定の距離と時間でウィルスを含む液体に照射を行いました。実験では275nm（UVC LED）、254nm（水銀灯）、222 nm（エキシマライト）の波長が違う3種類のUVC照射装置でTCID50とLRV(Log-Reduction Value)をウィルス消滅効果の基準として測定しました。その結果、「275nmのウィルス消滅効果(anti-SARS-CoV-2)が222 nm、254 nmよりも優れていました。放射照度79.8 μW/cm2のUVC LED (275nm)がもっともウィルス消滅効果が顕著であり、5秒照射後の消毒効果は99.99%、10秒照射後の消毒効果は99.9999%に達しました」。エバーライトはこの研究成果を活かして各種UVC LED(275nm)製品を開発しました。 UV照射装置でウィルス数が大幅減少総ウイルスクリアランス指数(LRV)はウィルス減少数の対数値であり、UVC LED照射前のウィルス数が107の場合、照射5秒後のウィルス数は102.77、LRV=Log10107-Log10102.77=4.23であり、消滅したウィルスの比率は：1 – 102.77/107  = 1 – 10-4.23 = 0.9999=99.99%となります。   総ウイルスクリアランス指数(LRV) 照射時間 5秒 10秒 20秒 40秒 UVC LED
